| Today stress is a fact of life, and the workplace is no exception. Deadlines, rapidly changing technology and unavoidable interpersonal conflicts are just a few of the stresses workers deal with on a regular basis. Often these stressful situations normally follow an equally stressful car journey to get to work!Anyone who has ever sat behind a desk, carried out manual labour or performed repetitive tasks will easily recognise the symptoms of workplace fatigue. A stiff neck, aching wrists, shoulders that feel tense and knotted up - the effects of stress are cumulative and without time to relax and recharge, can lead to a multitude of aches and pains as well as depression and psychological disorders. |
What treatments are available?
Seated Chair Massage – this is performed while the client is fully clothed, making it a quick and effective treatment in the workplace. Chair massage promotes better circulation, muscle stimulation and stress relief. This form of massage reduces tension in the back, neck, shoulders, head, arms, hands, legs or feet, providing a deep relaxation effect
Reflexology - this works on the reflex points on the feet or the hands (which mirror the body) and helps to disperse congestion and toxins, restoring the body’s own natural balance encouraging it to heal itself. A treatment of reflexology can relieve stress and tension from a wide variety of conditions. It is deeply relaxing yet stimulating and will leave the client feeling calm, de-stressed and re-energised.
